Professor Monique S.J. Simmonds, the distinguished Deputy Director of Science at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew will provide an overview of how the unique and diverse collections at The Gardens have been used to further our knowledge about the medicinal uses of plants to treat diseases such as Aids, Cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Malaria as well as, identify adulterated material entering the trade or being used in criminal activities.

Includes coffee, a light lunch and a glass of wine.
